Qgo SMS Chat - Want to keep in touch with your Friends while you're on the go or maybe send some cool pics or sounds to them through your mobile phone? QGo SMS Chat is for you!
Details:
Q121 knows that you don't spend your entire time sitting in front of your computer screen - you've got things to do and places to be and with QGo SMS Chat you can take your friends along with you in a totally safe and secure way! You don't even have to give out your cell number, just your Q121 username! This feature works only for mobile phones that have been Validated for Q121 Mobile Features, have the text messaging feature enabled on their phone and are currently on Cingular Orange, Cingular Blue (formerly AT&T) and T-Mobile.
QGo SMS Chat lets you send text messages to your friends and send them cool sounds and pics and wallpapers. Send them pretty much anything you want from Q121 as long as it has a QID!
| What's a QID? A QID is a series of numbers that you will find for anything that you can send over your phone to anyone else - scroll over a pic or sound (ringtone or song from play list) and you'll see a popup that says QID: 1234. It's the sequence of numbers that you'll need to send that image or sound to your friend. Now that you know what you need to send things let's get started on how to start your QGo SMS Chat! |

Getting Started
First, you'll have to make yourself available for QGo SMS Chat. Simply send QGO On in a text message to the number 91441. You will receive a message confirming your Chat Availability has been turned on. That's it! Now you're ready to be in the QGo SMS Chat community.
To turn off your QGo SMS Chat availability at any time simply text the message QGO Off to 91441. This will stop any, and all, QGo Chat messages from Friends to come in. Send QGo ON again at anytime to make yourself once again available.
Now that you're ready to chat you can do what you want - chat with specific friends, send photos, videos, sounds and games to friends. However, regardless of what you do you have to send the text message to the 91441 number with specific command words. There's so much you can do, so here's the breakdown of how to QGo Chat! We're sure you'll be a pro in no time!
Step 1:
All QGo SMS messages must be sent to the 91441 number. Again, this service is currently only available to Cingular Orange, Cingular Blue (formerly AT&T), T-Mobile, Sprint, NexTel, Boost and AllTel cellular subscribers.
You'll start every message with QGo. This tells the system that you want to partake in the QGo Chat. It's what you put after that tells QGo what you're going to do that we call Operative Words.
Operative Words -
These words tell the system what you want to do - request a chat request, accept a chat request, send a text message, send a pic, wallpaper or sound and even change your nickname that appears in front of a message.
ON - This turns ON your Q121 QGo Chat availability for you to receive chat messages in the QGo Chat community.
OFF - This turns OFF your Q121 QGo Chat availability for you to receive chat messages in the QGo Chat community.
CHAT - This is where you want to send a request to a Friend for QGo SMS Chat. Each QGo Chat Request is good for an hour, and only 1 Request per hour can be sent to that Friend.
E.g. If I want to chat with my friend Denis then I would send the following text message: QGo Chat Denis
Note: You can only send QGo Chat Request to users on your Friends list.
ACCEPT - You will be sent a text message for each Q121 Friend who wishes to chat with you. You will be given the option at that time to accept the chat by replying. If you accept, the chat initiator will be sent a chat message advising you have accepted their request. You have 1 hour to respond to their request.
E.g. Denis wants to chat with me so I receive a text message where if I accept I would reply: QGo Accept Denis
DECLINE - If you choose not to accept a QGo Chat Request then you would send this QGo command and Denis would then be notified of the decline.
E.g. QGo Decline Denis
Denis will, in turn, be sent a text message notifying him that I do not wish to chat
NICK - If your Q121 username isn't what you want to show up when chatting with others through QGo, then you can set yourself a nickname.
E.g. My username is Denis1234567890yeah and I want my friends to see incoming chat messages from 'Denis', then I would send QGo Nick Denis
Once your Friend has accepted your QGo Chat Request, you'll be able to do any of the following actions!
TXT - This lets you simply text messages back and forth with your Friends.
E.g. If I want to ask Denis: "Hi How's it going check out this pic I'm going to send you." You would send: QGo Txt Denis Hi How's it going check out this pic I'm going to send you.
SEND - This sends any Q121 Video, Song, Photo, Wallpaper, Ringtone or Game to someone else by its QID. QIDs can be found all over Q121! Simple hover your mouse over the video, photo, wallpaper, or game when browsing the Q121 site, or hover your mouse over 'Send to my Mobile Phone' when viewing someone's playlist, and use that QID to send that to your Friends!
E.g. I want to send Denis funny wallpaper so I would send QGo Send Denis 12345
When sending and receiving sounds and pictures through QGo Chat you or your friend may not be able to open up the file. This is dependent on the phone model and its features and whether you/they have Internet access on their phone. If you or your friend don't have Internet access on your cell phone then contact your cellular service provider on how to get this feature!
That wasn't so bad, now was it? I'm sure you'll be a pro in just a few text messages! So get chatting in a safe and secure way with QGo SMS Chat. Just remember that your cellular provider's standard text messaging rates may apply.
